how did Conservas Pinhais reach the tables of the world through e-commerce and digital marketing?

Founded in 1920, Conservas Pinhais won over the taste buds - not only of Portugal but of the whole world - thanks to its artisanal method of producing tinned fish, a method to which it remains loyal to this day.

Wanting to take its history and traditional flavours to the digital stage, Conservas Pinhais needed to implement accessible and effective e-commerce, especially for the international target, as well as create a digital marketing strategy that reflected its values and increased awareness.

Together, we developed a digital transformation strategy for Conservas Pinhais that involved multilingual e-commerce, making it possible to purchase the brand's products in a convenient and contemporary way, while respecting the century-old values that guide the brand.

The Conservas Pinhais e-commerce was developed through the Shopify platform, with a customised template to match the brand's visual identity, from the tones to the charismatic ‘varina’ basket (a typical Portuguese basket) instead of the usual shopping cart symbol.

Through the catalogue, users can select the preserves they want and, in just a few clicks, place their order at any address in the world.
The digital marketing strategy followed a four-phase approach: analysing, planning, executing, and reporting. Planning also included the production of content, such as blog articles, aimed at obtaining organic traffic and reinforcing the brand's positioning.



The strategy also included email marketing, automation for abandoned carts and annual customer satisfaction questionnaires - elements that strengthen the relationship between consumers and the brand, and allow the digital presence to be adapted according to feedback.
Conversion mechanics and digital retargeting campaigns were integrated to boost sales and keep customers engaged.


This digital transformation strategy has allowed Conservas Pinhais to get closer to its consumers (both national and international), while maintaining the authenticity of its artisanal methods and century-old legacy, with tangible results.
