‘everything you need in one place’ is the promise of this shopping centre, which now also presents a new image and website

    Imocasais is a leading real estate company known for its expertise and project selection based on identifying potential. One of these projects was Ria Shopping, launched in 2009 and initially seen as a highly promising shopping center in Olhão.

    However, the rebranding to Algarve Outlet did not resonate well with the locals, resulting in limited success despite its advantageous location near the airport and tourist spots. Imocasais recognised the potential of the shopping centre and decided to invest and expand its business areas. 

  • the story

    The effort to boost Ria Shopping involved a two-point action plan: repositioning the shopping centre and profiting from the car park by turning it into a retail park. In this case study, we will explore the first point. 

Imocasais felt it was time to recover and stimulate the initial potential of the shopping centre. The main challenge would be to reposition the mall to remain in the minds of local consumers as a relevant point to do their shopping and to offer a modernised image, prepared for the expansion of its activity.

The 1st step of the challenge was to recover the Ria Shopping naming, taking advantage of the reach and familiarity already established in the initial name.

 

Associated with the renaming, we ensured the rebranding of Ria Shopping for a more contemporary image - inspired by the historical and touristic elements of the region - that would combine the familiarity of the name with a renewed look that would awaken the target's sense of novelty.

 

A brand manual was developed to accompany this whole renovation process.

As part of a comprehensive rebranding effort, Ria Shopping underwent a refurbishment while simultaneously launching a new website that not only reflected the new branding but also enhanced existing functionalities.

Additionally, a commercial brochure was created to promote the brand's new commercial areas and attract potential partners and investors.

 

This rebranding initiative aimed to reestablish familiarity with the target audience while introducing a new communication approach, transforming Ria Shopping into an enticing commercial destination for both locals and investors.
